Lunch - Pork Chop

Wheat biscuit
Pork chop (a bit blurred image)

Pork Chop recipe:

Pork slices (steak sized) [Pound at the meat a bit so its more tender]
Pounded wheat biscuit / can use bread crumb also
Soy sauce / dark soy sauce
White pepper
Egg white

Method:
- Season the pork with soy sauce, and white pepper
- Leave it for a while
- Coat the seasoned pork with egg white
- Coat the meat with bread crumb
- Fry
- Cut the ready product in cross sections


The meat is very tender and nice. The bread crumbs is crispy.

Tea time - Marmalade Pantry cupcakes

Had the Peanut butter and Chocolate cupcakes for tea time...

It's good .. very creamy ... the cup cakes is very big for one.. so only try 1/4 each ..

Buffet day - Apr

Thai buffet this month ... but I very full already (see previous post) ... so only drink 1 bowl of tom yum .. actu I wanna try the green curry, fish cake and prawn cake with lemongrass also but too full...
And have this Thai Iced Tea .. this tea is NICE!!! :)

Story of Love and Madness

A long time ago, before the world was created and humans set foot on it for the first time, virtues and vices floated around and were bored, not knowing what to do. One day, all the vices and virtues were gathered together and were more bored than ever.

Suddenly, Ingenious came up with an idea: "Let's play hide and seek!" All of them liked the idea and immediately Madness shouted: "I want to count, I want to count!" And since nobody was crazy enough to want to seek Madness, all the others agreed.

Madness leaned against a tree and started to count: "One, two, three…" As Madness counted, the vices and virtues went hiding.

Tenderness hung itself on the horn of the moon, Treason hid in a pile of garbage. Fondness curled up between the clouds and Passion went to the center of the earth. Lie said that it would hide under a stone, but hid at the bottom of the lake, whilst Avarice entered a sack that it ended up breaking.

And Madness continued to count: "… seventy nine, eighty, eighty one…" By this time, all the vices and virtues were already hidden - except Love. For undecided as Love is, it could not decide where to hide. And this should not surprise us, because we all know how difficult it is to hide Love. Madness: "…ninety five, ninety six, ninety seven…" Just when Madness got to one hundred, Love jumped into a rose bush where it hid. And Madness turned around and shouted: "I'm coming, I'm coming!"

As Madness turned around, Laziness was the first to be found, because Laziness is too lazy to hide. Then he spotted Tenderness in the horn of the moon, Lie at the bottom of the lake and Passion at the center of the earth. One by one, Madness found them all - except Love.

Madness was getting desperate, unable to find Love. Envious of Love, Envy whispered to Madness: "You only need to find Love, and Love is hiding in the rose bush." Madness grabbed a wooden pitch fork and stabbed wildly at the rose bush. Madness stabbed and stabbed until a heartbreaking cry made Madness stop.

Love appeared from the rose bush, covering its face with its hands. Between its fingers ran two trickles of blood from its eyes. Madness, so anxious to find Love, had stabbed out Love's eyes with a pitch fork. "What have I done! What have I done!" Madness shouted. "I have left you blind! How Can I repair it?" And Love answered: "You cannot repair my eyes. But if you want to do something for me, you can be my guide." And so it came about that from that day on, Love is blind and is always accompanied by Madness..

Lemongrass pork steak

Lemongrass pork steak
Close up view, those small small thing on the meat is the chopped lemongrass and green chilies

It's nice and the pork is soft..

Recipe: (already modified a bit)
Lean pork meat (cut in to steak sized)
Dark soy sauce
Light soy sauce (If too much dark soy sauce already this one can dun need put I think)
Chopped lemongrass
Chooped green chili (smash it up a bit)
Oil

Method:
Stir in all the ingredients and mix well
Leave to sit for a while, if u like
Use a dry pan and fry them

Note:
Do not put too much of the soy sauces, otherwise too salty
1 stalk of lemonrgrass with about 5 green chilies is enough for about serving for 2
(Otherwise the lemongrass smell too overpowering)

Jap Sticks

Jap stick for lunch ... Of coz the Shin Kushiya nicer la .. this one is express one .. the stalls those kind ... but it is good too :)

Featuring:
- Pork Asparagus (2 sticks)
- Chicken Thigh (one with quail egg and one just the meat)

Lemongrass pork

The smell of the lemongrass is just nice and not too overpowering ...
So here is the recipe...

Lemongrass pork

Boil water till bubly ...
Put in pork rib for about 30 sec ... just so the inner part is cooked and soft..
Take out and wash with water

Marinate the pork with dark soy sauce, fish sauce, chopped chili padi (not too much and take out most of the seeds first, not supposed to be hot.. supposed to be just accompanying flavour) and chooped lemon grass
Stir in a bit of cooking oil to the mixture and mix it well ...

Heat up the pan and pan fry the meat about 15 min

Went to eat this at chinatown... The sauce on these 2 I think its the same... should have just order the claypot pork instead with the dark sauce. The sesame one ... using the same sauce on the beancurd but add sesame oil .. so not like wat I tot, normally the sesame chicken sauce is darker...

The beancurd turn out to be the better one, got fish slices, pork, prawn, lotsa bean curd, snow peas and carrot :)

About ~$12 :)

Prawn sushi .. The prawn is deep fried
Assorted grills: Minced chicken with mushroom, chicken ball, asparagus, pork asparagus, pork with golden mushroom, shisamo ...
... scallop wrapped with pork and pork with shitakee, leaves and seaweed

Yummy! I like to eat the grills ... So full now.. hee

Had boiled brocolli with the oyster sauce at the side, Kong Bao chicken and Fu Rong Omellete.
Had ice cream afterwards too ...

Lunch - Seafood Oglio Olio

Cooked this... Prawn and crab meat oglio olio...
A bit dry... dunno how to make it wetter without putting too much oil while retaining the taste.. The crab meat, cant see anymore.. sob...
Note to self: dun stir fry crab together with watever you are cooking! Instead, cook it separately..

Rain - Localised and Spreading ...

See... the rain is only localised at that place... the grayish area ... only that area is raining... the rest is not .. the sky is still bright at other places too ...
So probably the margin area (between rain and non-rain) can feel both weather at the same time ?!?!?
The rain area becoming bigger... spreading...
Oh wells... This is abt 15 min later... the rain is spreading and spreading ..
AND...
Now .. my window can't see anything anymore... it's just a patch of gray coz the rain is so heavy and the clouds are basically gray... Occasional thunder and lightning too ...

Method:
Soak the bee hoon in the water
Put the ingredients into the wrapper and fry
