Dinner - First Thai @ Purvis St, Bugis

Went to try this outlet as we are hungry ... First Thai restaurant.. looks crowded
The interior of the place.. looks old style..
The menu.. its really like the oldies time... haha
White rice ... interesting serving plate shape haha
Fish cake with peanut cucmber sauce. Both is good! I like the sauce as well hehehe
Brocolli with golden mushroom and prawn.. The sauce is just right :)
Stir fry chicken basil .. This is good as well.. the chicken is from chicken fillet that kind, not the minced one.. so the seasoning didn't really get into the centre of chicken, but can pour the sauce on it :)
I think this place is good :)
Total bill: ~$25

Lunch - Homemade pork and veggies

My all time favorouties, stir fried french bean with prawns
Deep fried cauliflower.
For the batter:
- Plain flour
- Salt
- Egg
- Water (depends how thick you want it to be)
Vietnamese style caramel pork

Use vietnam seasoning of some coconut and sauce marinate. Just pour that and I added a bit of sugar, sweet soy sauce and dark soy sauce.

The pork supposed to be kinda sticky with a little sauce. I haven't really get the pork to be very soft, but it is softer than the last time haha

Lunch - Homemade Claypot Chicken Rice

Attempted to cook claypot chicken rice in rice cooker as it seemed easy ...
First, I marinate the chicken overnight (not really necessary I guess, I'm just lazy to do everything together at one go as it will then take a long time hehe) using sesame oil, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar.
The next day, prepare mushroom, chinese sausage, cabbage, dried shrimp, garlic ginger.
Except for cabbage, I stir fry the rest of the ingredients so it is almost cooked (or cooked) :P
Separately, I also prepare chicken stock, using chicken cube.
So when cooking the rice, add water as usual, and put in the stir fried stuff, cabbage, chicken stock into the rice and leave them to cook.

This is the result of it:
Claypot chicken rice. It is tasty and fragrant :) Next time I will improve on the color to make it darker :p

I also prepared fried onion and cut chili with soy sauce to eat with the rice.
Served and ready to eat!
