Dinner - Breeks @ Marina Square

Breeks interior, simply design
Plain water
Strawberry juice
Crab meat corn soup. The crab is really shreded and very fine..
Curry chicken baked rice with the sauce at the side. The sauce have shreds of cauliflowers

Seafood pasta.. The seafood seemed to be pre-boiled and not really mixed with the tomato sauce.

I used the birthday 1 for 1 promotion, so total bill ~$23

Brunch - Casa Verde @ Botanic Garden

Went to take a walk at Botanic Garden. Here is the Swan Lake, the swan swim real fast, as if a motor is attached underneath it hehe
Had breakfast here, very family based, price almost the same as Halia restaurant breakfast but have more choices (local breakfast). The decor of the place.. very open garden style

Gourmet breakfast ($14) include Italian sausage, hash brown, back bacon (less fats), scrambled egg, stir fried button mushroom and grilled tomato.

Western set meal ($13.50). It comes with hash brown, 2 pork sausage, bacon, salad, grilled tomato and a choice of scrambled egg or ..
fried egg.. The fried egg is only cooked on 1 side :)

Dinner - Bottle Tree Village @ Sembawang

Decor of the place
Seating, outdoor style, beside the beach, it's kinda drizzling when we got there
Table setting, very olden seafood style
The tea, crab cracker etc
Pickled vegetales and chili sauce
Si Jiao Dou with sambal, very crunchy, I like this vegetable
Bacon wrapped prawn
Stir fried scallop, I rather the scallop do not have that coating there..

Spicy black pepper crab, it's 2 of them. Having promotion, if order 2 smaller crab in one dish, it's $32 per kg. The person said that this is about 1.3 kg.

Homecooked - Mum's Cooking

Chopped spring onion to ..
Sprinkle on the tofu minced pork soup hehe
Ingredients and method:
- Scald chicken bones with hot water to get rid of smell
- Boil them to get the soup base
- Prepare minced pork with soy sauce and pepper
- Take away the chicken bones and put minced pork in the soup
- When it's cooked, put in the tofu cubes and simmer
- Put in fried garlic into the soup
- Sprinkle spring onion and serve
Stir fried brocolli with carrot and dried scallop
The trademark fried bakwan, best enjoyed when it is just out of the pan hehe
Ingredients and method:
- Mix minced prawn, pork, spring onion, red onion, flour, corn starch, sesame oil, garlic, egg, soy sauce, pepper
- Mix well and fry in hot oil
- Serve with chili sauce
Sesame chicken
Ingredient and method:
- Heat up sesame oil in the pan
- Put in ginger and garlic and fry till fragrant
- Put oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, mushroom sauce and a bit of rice wine and let it simmer
- Adjust taste and when all the water from the chicken evaporated, pour somemore water in and let simmer for about one hour, or one and half hour for big chicken so the chicken can be soft.
- Serve
Sambal Prawn with Pete
Ingredients and method:
- Blend chopped lemongrass (depending how fragrant you want, maybe 3-4?), big chilli (about 6 big chillies), red onion (about 4 bulb)
- With garlic (1 teaspoon) and the blended ingredients, stir the mixture
- After about 3-5 minutes, pour water in and let it boil and simmer as chilli takes sometime to cook.
- When the color start to darken, put in pete and fry till yellowish
- Add prawns in
- Put tamarind water and adjust the taste
- Optional: put tomato in (keep in mind to balance tomato with tamarind as both is sour)
- Adjust taste with sugar and salt
- Serve

Steam fish
Ingredients and method:
- Clean fish with lime juice / salt
- Steam for 3-5 min with ginger on it
- Throw the water away to get rid of fishy smell
- Stir fry ginger with a bit of oil and put aside
- Put oyster sauce, salted vege, rice wine, tomato, fried ginger, chili on the fish and steam
- Serve

Brunch - Riders Cafe @ BTSC

Here we go ... Bukit Timah Saddle Club... What is there... ?
Here we are at the destination..
Lush greenery, so beautiful view :)
Saddle club, of couse you expect to see horses walking around..
But today, we come here not to ride horses but to this place..
Riders Cafe for Brunch!
Entrance
A small sofa lounge when you just enter the place
Outdoor seating, with the green view at the back..
Interior seating, this place is very family oriented.. perfect to wind down on a lazy weekend morning ..

A pot of Morrocan Mint tea
Pancakes, 3 layer of them.. very filling one.. it's thick and moist, Nice :)
My favourite type of breakfast, of course the Riders Breakfast hee
