Dinner - Homecooked Chai poh Omelette, salmon, sesame chicken

Omelette Chaipoh
Method:
- Wash chaipoh
- Beat egg separately
- Fry the chaipoh till fragrant
- Spread it on the pan
- Pour the egg on it and wait till cook
- Flip and continue to wait till cook
- Serve
Stir Fry Brocolli
- Soak dry scallop till soft (will take sometime)
- Fry in garlic, then big chili, then dry scallop
- The put in brocolli
- Then put in oyster sauce and water
- Serve
Sesame and Ginger Chicken
- Marinate chicken with dark sauce and pepper
- Heat sesame oil
- Put in garlic and ginger, fry till fragrant
- Put in chicken, fry till nearly cooked
- Pour water and add sugar
- Serve
Steam Salmon
- Season salmon with soy sauce
- Put garlic on the salmon
- Pour some rice wine
- Steam till cooked and serve

Take about 1 hour to prepare all these :) Not bad, quite fast hahaha

Pointer:
- Get rid of centre of garlic, coz it's where the root is, therefore poisonous?
- Wash the brocolli before cutting them, to retain more of the vitamin,.. but will it mean less clean as well ?
- When adding water to the pan for sauce of the dish, use hot water, coz using normal water, even though it will heat up in the pan, it will bring the temperature slightly down first coz needa cook the water..
- Soak the dry scallop in hot water, so it will soften faster

Dinner - Great Wall Restaurant @ SRC, NUS

Try this steamboat in NUS as we are nearby. A lot of people always eat here and it looks like a good deal hehe
Peanut sauce and chili sauce, I like the chili sauce. Peanut sauce a tad salty ..
Chicken set, it comes with vermicilli, taupok, beancurd strap, sweet potato slices, corn, tomato, fishball, cabbage, xiao bai chai, black fungus, tauhu and prawns. :)
Same items for the pork set. It also comes with rice :)
It is very nice and very filling. One concern is that, it used solid fuel to burn (which is dangerous for health, I feel as it blows to me and my eyes feels prickly) and no metal spoon is provided, instead we are using the plastic spoon (another health hazard). When wanna top up the soup, they pour the hot soup on the plastic cup for us to refill, another hazard. The cup is like.. gone all soft coz of the heat.. Nevertheless, it is a good meal with the exception of all the health hazards hehe
Total bill: $12
