Book: Nicholas Sparks - Dear John

The story is nice and touching. Reminds me of the times I had last time, similar but not exactly the same of coz.

The book talks about Passion, that I found it very nice ... here it is ...

"Passion is passion. It's the excitement between the tedious spaces, and it doesn't matter where it's directed. Well, most of the time anyway... It can be coins or sports or politics or horses or music or faith.. the saddest people I've ever met in life are the ones who don't care deeply about anything at all. Passion and satisfaction go hand in hand, and without them, any happiness is only temporary, because there's nothing to make it last. ....Because that's when you see a person at his best, and I've found someone else's happiness is usually infectious. "

And this other one ...

"... when you are struggling with something, look at all the people around you and realize that every single person you see is struggling with something, and to them, it's just as hard as what you're going through."

And this ...

"I like the surprise of finding a letter in the mailbox and the anxious anticipation I feel when I'm getting ready to open it. I like the fact that I can take it with me to read at my leisure, and that I can lean against a tree and feel the breeze on my face when I see your words on paper. I like to imagine the way you looked when you wrote it: what you we re wearing, your surroundings, the way you help your pen.... It's so much more romantic than reading something on the same machine that you use to download music or research on a paper."

And last one ...

"I finally understood that true love meant .... that love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be."
Well, this story ... the main characters didn't get to be together in the end but have a closure to it... which is rather sad... I would prefer a happy ending and happy story anyways :)
